I have been looking forward to this engagement session since John and Lauren contacted me around Christmas time about their upcoming wedding at the Liriodendron Mansion! I had seen pictures online of this incredible venue and couldn’t wait to see it in person and have the chance to capture it’s beauty. And let me tell you – it did not disappoint! When I arrived, the sun was just beginning to rise and birds were singing. It was so peaceful – a hidden garden full of fountains and flowers.I was immediately inspired by the arches of ivy creating a canopy over the patio area. It’s where Lauren and John will be having their wedding at the mansion this September.
I absolutely love engagement sessions!! I love getting the chance to work one on one with a couple before their big day and tell their love story through images. We get to play around with different poses which helps on the wedding day too! Engagement sessions are always a ton of fun and Courtney and Peter’s was no different!
Courtney and Peter joined me at Centennial Park for their engagement photos and they brought their adorable dog Lacey. I LOVE when couples bring their pets to e-sessions!! They played cards and jenga together by the boat rental and walked around the docks. It was a bit chilly, but the wind actually gave them an excuse to cuddle underneath a blanket by the water and get cozy to stay warm. ;)
Let’s all just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful Courtney’s engagement ring is! Nice job Peter!! ;)
