Ashley and Tim’s eclectic outdoor wedding took place in Davidsonville on a family member’s property. Even though the forecast called for thunderstorms the whole day, we were blessed with the most beautiful weather (and not a drop of rain)! Every corner of the reception area was decorated with hand-made signs, tasty desserts, vintage furniture, and lawn games for their guests.
I remember Ashley telling me, when we met for the first time in starbucks last winter, that she and her Aunt were collecting all sorts of chairs for the reception tables and I couldn’t wait to see how it would turn out…well -when I arrived on her wedding day, I was blown away by how awesome all the miss-matched vintage chairs looked together. The reception tables were custom built and stained especially for their wedding by Ashley’s family. Talk about DIY!
I loved all the details and jewelry Ashley picked out. Her “something blue” was this adorable pair of lace toms! One of my favorite details in the reception area was a vintage vanity table made to hold photographs of their family members. On the tables as centerpieces were meaningful books, assorted vintage items, framed photographs, and fresh flowers. Ashley and Tim, along with their families, did such an incredible job of filling the day with meaningful decorations. Guests were encouraged to take home their plates and cups at the end of the night!
