Rebekah and Kevin’s hot air balloon engagement session is one for the books. Not only was absolutely breathtaking, but it checked something off my bucket list– riding in a hot air balloon! Yes, it was amazing, and yes, it is as cool as it sounds.
But before we attended the Easton hot air balloon festival, we stopped in at the cutest little ice cream parlor in downtown Easton: Old Towne Creamery & Desserts. I snapped polaroids of Rebekah and Kevin as they giggled and enjoyed their ice cream.
Anybody recognize the chalk board art behind them? It’s a replica of this painting I custom painted for them. Their wedding theme is Love Is In The air.
Rebekah’s vintage, heirloom engagement ring is just incredible. I’m obsessed! Then some rain blew in and threatened to end our session but we were absolutely determined to see those hot air balloons!! We walked around the city and had a blast waiting for the rain to clear. Thankfully, Rebekah had thought of everything and brought adorable heart-shaped umbrellas and balloons spelling out the word “LOVE”. I stood with an umbrella in one hand and a camera in the other and captured these two lovebirds. You can barely even tell it was raining. How great is Rebekah’s outfit and styling? I can’t get over this red tulle skirt. Even her hair and makeup are right on-point! Definitely putting this in my What-To-Wear guide on pinterest for future brides who want engagement outfit inspiration.
And then it happened. After literally months of planning we were inside of a hot air balloon. All I could think was IS THIS REAL LIFE!??
My little photographer heart can still barely handle the beauty!
Interesting side note: the inside of a wet hot air balloon smells a lot like a wet dog. Not super pleasant but totally worth it. ;)
We waited in line to ride until it was completely dark outside. The sky turned pink as the sun set.
I had always wondered what it looked like when you are in the basket and you looked up. And now I know. It was honestly the most surreal and incredible feeling to be floating through the air in a balloon. Thank you, Rebekah & Kevin, for bringing me on your journey and letting me capture you two. You guys are total naturals in front of the camera and your relationship is just beautiful. I cannot wait for your wedding day!! Congratulations!
